An MIT Sloan Executive Certificate is formal recognition of an executive’s professional development. Pursuing an

Executive Certificate allows executives to further their business knowledge and skills on a convenient, flexible schedule of

their own design. Certificates are offered in three areas of concentration:

Strategy and Innovation

Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management

Management and Leadership

Certificate tracks provide executives with the opportunity to tailor their education plans to meet their own specific interests

and goals. Certificate candidates choose the track and programs that will help them develop a set of competencies and allow

them to have an immediate and lasting impact on their organizations.

To qualify for an Executive Certificate, participants must complete four programs—three from their chosen track, along with

one other program from any of the three tracks—within a four-year period. There are many different program combinations

available when designing the Executive Certificate plan that is right for you, including the option of completing the

Participants who earn an Executive Certificate will benefit from:

• A 20% discount on additional programs • Invitations to special events and networking opportunities • Updates on faculty research, new programs, and School initiatives• Complimentary subscription to the MIT Sloan alumni magazine • Membership in the MIT Sloan Executive Certificate Network Group on LinkedIn

Participants who complete 25 program days and attend at least two programs from each Executive Certificate track within

a four-year period are eligible for a new type of Executive Certificate—ACE, the Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology.

ACE represents an extraordinary commitment to learning. It is comparable to a traditional advanced management program

(AMP) in terms of cutting-edge content, access to today’s thought leaders, and excellent networking opportunities. However,

the flexible, customizable format of ACE allows participants to design their own curriculum by choosing the programs that

best fit their needs. Participants interested in an immersive, month-long experience can earn an ACE in one visit to MIT;

others may choose to spread their programs out, for up to four years, according to their schedule and budget requirements.

Our new Advanced Management Program is composed of an intensive five weeks that expose senior business leaders from

around the globe to MIT Sloan’s world-class faculty and their research. This program combines custom components on

corporate strategy, leadership, and innovation with open enrollment sessions on macroeconomics, globalization, system

dynamics, leadership, and collective intelligence. As an added benefit for those with busy schedules, the AMP program allows

executives to earn the ACE during one visit to MIT. Upcoming AMP sessions are currently scheduled for May 27-June 27,

2014.
