Strategic Plan 2013 – 2017 | Western Australian Electoral Commission 2

Message from the Electoral CommissionerThis Strategic Plan sets out our key objectives in support of the Commission’s purpose, along with the broad strategies that will be pursued over the 2013–17 period in order to achieve those objectives.

Ultimately we aim to facilitate the active participation of all eligible Western Australians in the various elections and polls conducted by the Commission. To this end, the Commission will strive to maintain its reputation for independence, impartiality, reliability and professionalism. We also recognise the importance of effective two-way communication.

In each of the four years of this plan, the Commission will develop an organisation-wide annual operational plan and each functional area will produce an annual branch plan. These plans will incorporate the specific activities and initiatives that align to the strategies documented here.
