• Early identification of students for gifted screening. All students performing above level on baseline assessments are being screened for gifted.
• Providing enrichment and remediation for all students, including the addition of PE, Music, Computers, and STEM classes as electives.
• Immediate and intensive interventions for all students scoring below level on the beginning of the year assessments.
•Critical review of all students receiving ESE services, ELL services, and those in the RtI process to ensure that the needs of all students are being appropriately addressed school-wide.

In Year 1 the reading focus highlighted the inclusion of Science using the literacy program with Discovery.

Action Steps:•Discovery Mentoring Program to be expanded to include Primary Teachers•School’s environmental Science program/ School Gardening program to provide hands-on and real world connections•Expanding of the use of science journals that will incorporate the 5 E model•The expansion of the coding program and STEM Lab to promote more rigorous standards based instruction

In Year 1, Math intervention programs focused on fluency were implemented, as well as, the use of hands-on math and math
manipulatives in order to build conceptual understanding.Year 2, Math interventions will continue with a more intensive focus
on students for which the learning gaps have not been closed.
