    Christian Childrens Fund of Canada

    (CCFC) works with half a millionchildren and families around the world,with specic focus in Burkina Faso,Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Nicaragua,and Paraguay.Working with partners and consulting withcommunity members, governments, and other

    partners, CCFC creates programs that work toalleviate the challenges associated with child

    poverty in each country and community.

    Children have specifc needs and are especiallyvulnerable to increasing threats in their

    environment. They are too often excluded in poor communities that are deprived of essentialmaterials and services and are marginalized basedon age, gender, and caste. CCFC addresses the

    root causes of poverty with a focus on the childs

    right to survive, develop, participate, and be protected.

    CCFC helps communities improve their resilience

    to withstand shocks from man-made or naturaldisasters. When a disaster occurs, CCFC provideshumanitarian assistance to communities andfocuses on protecting children.

    Children are not helpless victims, and we

    are striving to help more children and youth become active agents of change within theircommunities, which will enable them to claimtheir rights.

    Giving Communities a VoiceThrough collaboration with localcommunities and Canadian stakeholders,we advocate on behalf of those who areexcluded and marginalized to developsustainable, long-term solutions to poverty.
