NOTE TO INSTALLERS

This installation manual has been provided to you as an aid to help you install the Valley Stow-A-Ball gooseneck hitches. Much of the data presented was gathered as feedback from successful installers. We very much appreciate your help.

With this manual we are not trying to imply that these are the only acceptable installation positions or methods but, again, offer them as an aid to speed and ease installation. This is a living document in that it is continually being updated with new installations and tips. We continue to solicit your help and accept any feedback that you have to offer. Again, we appreciate all of the advice that you have given.

Rated to tow 30,000 lbs. Valley’s new Stow-a-ball® Gooseneck Hitch provides maximum towing capacity for your Gooseneck towing needs. Our Stow-A-Ball® design allows easy storage of the trailer ball when not in use, creating an open truck bed for maximum versatility.

SAFEValley Industries continues to raise the bar on product testing. Valley’s in-house testing exceeds industry standards to provide added safety for you and your valuable cargo. Our Gooseneck’s meet SAE J2638 Rev. E test requirements for a 30,000 lb. rating.

SIMPLEValley’s Engineering team has developed our Stow-A-Ball® Gooseneck with a single bolt action pull rod. Fewer moving parts mean fewer parts that can become damaged or fatigued.

FEATURES• Trailer Ball – 30,000 lb. 2-5/16” zinc plated with yellow chromate for superior corrosion resistance.

• Ball rotates freely in socket to help eliminate binding and wear on the coupler or ball.

• Ball storage provides simple easy-to-use storage for the ball when not in use (no special covers are required to keep dirt out of the hole.)

• Vehicle specific mounting kits are engineered to handle the maximum tow rating for each vehicle and provide optimum ball positioning for safe towing.

• Most installation kits do not require the truck bed to be lifted, kits bolt or clamp to the truck frame and use existing holes whenever possible to minimize drilling.

• Safety chain hooks mount with tension springs to eliminate unwanted rattling. Mounting options allow the hooks to be mounted in the lower corrugation of the truck bed.
