Collaborative Storytelling
Examples of collaborative storytelling which involved open-ended projects with 3 different bloggers. Why did I join in? • to experience the thrill of working with my PLN• to see where the stories would end• to use my imagination• to see how it would feel for students doing similar projects• to do something completely new and different online• to challenge myself• to have lots of fun!!

Alice was crying in the Wonderland Bayside Bar, lonely and confused, thoroughly through with waiting for her horse, The Gelding Formerly Known As Prince, named after his mother, Black Princess. It was dark rum she ordered, and she thought to herself: “Enough!” “On the rocks” by the Heebee Geebees was playing on the ancient juke box and she felt like dancing. The music played softly, the lights were low, the eyes of the
musicians shone like stars and he appeared, large as life – tall, dark and devilishly almost impossibly handsome – “what about it”? he said … She looked toward the jukebox, then
smiled wryly. “Just my style,” Alice replied. – Of course, “it” was the murdered corpse of the Mad Hatter.

Collaborative improvised story from Bits'n'Bobs blog challenge September 2009 reproduced with kind permission :)
Joe's eyes shifted uneasily at the sight of the object sliding towards him. He began to get a bit hot under the collar. He hadn't liked being summoned to this board meeting at such short notice and was feeling very uncomfortable. He avoided looking directly at the cold and heartless Vanessa. He pondered on how things could have turned out differently if he hadn't....
Vanessa stood up and began to talk. http://bitsnbobsshowntell.blogspot.com/2009/09/improv-challenge-day-seven.html

Once upon a time, there was a village in the middle of the countryside where everybody wore red clothes. The T-shirts were red, the trousers were red, the dresses were red, even the men's overalls were red.
One day, Karl was in the barn in his workshop fixing the exhaust on his Aprilia Caponord motorbike when suddenly some oil from the engine spilled onto his beautiful red overalls. He gasped in horror as the thick black oil began to spread slowly but surely all over his favourite overalls. A red mist enveloped his entire being.
To dampen his dark mood he decided to take a walk. It was fast approaching the hour of sunset. He gazed up into the spectacular sky and thought to himself, "Tomorrow is another day. It isn't the end of the world. I'll buy myself a brand new pair of red overalls!"

An evolving
Idiomatic Digital Story in progress
This is where the digital story began in a small and famous village in Abruzzo.....
An Idiomatic Story - Part 2: The Return of the Lost Soul As he approached the bar in the tiny Abruzzo village, he paused for a moment and savoured the smells of cooking wafting across the terracotta rooftops. He was so hungry he could eat a horse, or a chicken or two.
