Stock Status Report Definitions BEG. CASES: Shows the total amount of beginning cases at the ABD

warehouse; these represent the total number of cases available to ship out. The amount reported here may consist of ABD owned inventory and supplier inventory as well.

RECV: Represents the number of cases received for the period reported.

SHIP: Represents the number of cases shipped out by ABD. ABD inventory is always shipped out first.

ABD BUYS: Represents the number of cases ABD has purchased during the period reported. ABD buys are purchased on the last business day of the month and are paid for in the second bailment period of the month. ABD buys from the prior period are carried over in the following month, and reported in the current full month stock status report.

ADJ: These are adjustments to inventory; adjustments are made based on customer returns or lost and found inventory.Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division

Stock Status Report Definitions VEND. OWNED: This amount represents the amount of vendor

owned inventory for the period reported. This amount does not always represent the total inventory available to be shipped.

ABD OWNED: This amount represents the amount of ABD owned inventory. ABD owned inventory is always shipped out first. ABD owned inventory is paid for in the prior month(s).

AVAIL: The amount reported here represents total inventory available for shipping out. This amount includes both ABD owned and vendor owned inventory. This amount does not include any orders that are en route to the ABD warehouse. This is the total amount of inventory available in the Iowa ABD warehouse.

allowed in the Iowa ABD warehouse. WARN: This amount represents the warning point of cases of product in the

Iowa ABD warehouse; this number is based off of the max inventory. MIN: This amount represents the minimum number of cases of this product

allowed in the warehouse.• NOTE: MAX, WARN and MIN levels may change. Be sure to make note each week if the current level has increased or decreased.

NOTE: When performing reconciliation, you may be off by +1 or -1 cases. This is due to rounding; this variance will zero out the following month.

2. The amount ABD buys will also appear in the ABD owned column.

For the total paid for the second period of the month, take the number of shipped cases (741), less the number of shipped cases paid for in the first period of the month (391-paid in the bailment period #1) and add the number of ABD buys this period (679) = 1,029.

NOTE: When performing reconciliation, you may be off by +1 or -1 cases. This is due to rounding, this variance will zero out the following month.

Following Bailment Reports3. The amount reported in the available column

will appear in the subsequent months Beg. Cases column. This amount represents ABD owned and vendor owned. This is the total amount of inventory available in the ABD warehouse.

4. The amount shipped in the subsequent month will always be ABD owned inventory first. Since this inventory was paid for in the prior month(s), ABD may not owe vendor for any amount shipped.

Bailment Period #312/1/2012-12/15/2012: ABD owned 679 cases and shipped 341 cases. This amount will match the Stock Status dated 12/1/2012-12/15/2012.

ABD will not pay for any amount shipped due to purchase in prior month of 679 cases. Subsequently, ABD owned inventory is reduced from 679 to 338 cases (679 owned less 341 shipped).
