St Theresa International College organized Speech Contest: Thailand - Hub of ASEAN Tourism2016, International Quiz Bee 2014, and AOT Marketing Plan Presentation on February 20,2014. There, Dr Chaipat Wattanasan, Vice President for Academic Affairs presided over the OpeningCeremony held at the old Auditorium where a hundred of students turned up at the event.

The “SMMTV” cable television ‘sLook Nang Tidlor’ Sports Pro-gram recently organized afriendly football match betweenLook Nang Tidlor VIP Team andSTIC Team (mixed Staff, lectur-ers, students).

The VIP Team of more than 20members led by DJ and TVSports Program host ChavalitYormdon, met with STIC Teamled by Dr Chaipat Wattanasan,Vice President, on Friday, Febru-ary 21, 2014 at the STIC FootballField.

This friendly match was heldwith the aim of creating goodrelations between the two or-ganizations and also raisingfunds for going towards forbuying sports kits for poorschools in remote and ruralareas.

STIC holds a training course on fire control The morning session wasabout fire control theorywhich was held on February24, 2014 at the old STIC Audi-torium, with Acting Sub- LtNopawit Pidkrathok from 199Fire Brigade, Bangkhen andSamsen areas in Bangkok wasas a guest speaker.He spoke on basic fire preven-tion, fire control with andsafety measures to about 120students from Faculty of Pub-lic Health and Faculty of Busi-ness Administration (AirlineBusiness), housemaids, secu-rity guards and persons con-cerned, who attended thetraining course and fire drills.

St Theresa International College(STIC)'s Faculty of Public Health in co-operation with Nakhon Nayok Provin-cial Red Cross Society jointly launcheda daily iron tablet supplementationprogram after the blood donations con-cluded. A weekly iron tablet supple-mentation among women ofreproductive ages as a health promo-tion programme. Moreover, STIC pro-moted the weekly dose among femalestudents to boost their learning abilityand their liveliness.

The short message below will be in-cluded with iron tablets for all blooddonors in Nakhon Nayok province.

Asst Prof Dr Poonsook Kitratporn,Dean of Faculty of Humanities and So-cial Sciences, is seen presenting a Cer-tificate of Appreciation to one of thosestudents in the Business Englishcourse (English for Publication Rela-tions), who helped promote the “Coinfor Kids” Project last January. Congratulations to new graduates!

The Faculty of Public Health on February26 organized the English ProficiencyTraining for Public Health Professionals.The course was held at the Administra-tive Building for the 3-year Public Healthstudents who attended the course consist-ing of pre-test, benefit of English using inpublic health professionals, English writ-ing, listening, reading and speaking inpublic health professionals and so on.

English for Public Health students

Cultural Exhibition on ASEAN St Theresa International College‘s Faculty ofBusiness Administration on February 26, or-ganized the Cultural Exhibition 2014 on “Ajourney into ASEAN Economic Community(AEC)”, at the STIC HUB. This exhibitionevent was including ASEAN country presen-tations by students in 10 groups.

A seminar on the “Seven Sacraments“for Christian students of St. TheresaInternational College was held onFebruary 26 at Room 306 of the Ad-ministrative Building, STIC. Theseven sacraments touch all the stagesand all the important moments ofChristian Life: There is thus a certainresemblance between the stages ofnatural life and the stages of spirituallife.

Dr Piyada Wattanasan, STIC President presented Certificates of Appreciation to the STICstudents who were announced as the winners and first runners-up for the First Project Con-test following Plan-Do-Check-Act Process on February 27 at Maria Theresa Meeting Room. The Faculty of Nurse Science, St Theresa International College (STIC) won the best projectcontest, while Faculty of Business Administration won the first runner-up prize for this cat-egory. There were all 13 entries representing the four universities for the project contestheld at Rangsit University on February 26, 2014. The competition was organized by the International Institute Quality Assurance Network(IQAN) which consists of Asia Pacific International University, Stamford International Uni-versity, Rangsit University and St Theresa International College.

4th Research Presentation Day On February 27, the monthly ResearchPresentation Day was held at MariaTheresa Meeting Room, where Dr ChaipatWattanasan, Vice President for AcademicAffairs, STIC chaired the day meeting. Onthis occasion, there were two researchersfrom Faculty if Nursing Science and onefrom the Faculty of Humanities and SocialScience, who attended and presented theirown research papers on the day event to theSTIC lecturers. Ajarn Noppussorn Wises presented about“Effects of Resilience Enhancement Pro-gram on Stress and Depression among Jun-ior High School Students “, meanwhileAjarn William Demsar talked about On “Presentism and Fatalism” , and Ajarn Pan-chaporn Yakasem spoke on the “Experi-ences of Becoming Teenage Mother……”
