Class: Sensory Smilers Nurture Group Teacher: Mrs Buckley Date: Wednesday, 1 st April 2020 Check-in Message: Hello Sensory Smilers! I hope you are having a good day. So, today is the first day of April or April Fool’s Day . I wonder if you have played a trick on anyone in your house today (or if someone has played a trick on you)! The month of April is right in the middle of the season of Spring and there is quite a big difference in what I see when I look out of the window today in comparison to last week; the trees have more leaves and they are generally greener, there are more plants and flowers in my garden and the sky is bluer. It is not like a summer sky because it is a lighter blue and there are more clouds but it is still lovely. The birds are more plentiful and noisy too. What can you see and hear when you look out of the window? I have attached a poem written and illustrated by one of my favourite chidren’s authors, Shirley Hughes. I love the rhythm she gives the words. I wonder what you think. If we were at school today we would be having nurture outside. Today’s activity is a scavenger hunt and it should give you a little bit of exercise. Do some of ST.FRANCIS’ PRIMARY SCHOOL DAILY LEARNING PLAN

If we were at school today we would be having nurture outside. Today’s activity is a scavenger hunt and it should give you a little bit of exercise. Do some of it outside if you have a garden but you will also be able to do it just in the house. The main thing is to enjoy it! Mrs Buckley
