MARGO TANGA( 6 ) jumped smartly and led throughout. PATAKY( 4 ) and HALO NISMO( 7 ) were slow to begin. HALLY MULWEE( 3 ) raced wide soon after the start, checking GOLDEN CENTURY( 5 ), which lost ground. In two separate incidents at the first turn, HE’S NO ANGEL( 2 ) was checked off the heels of MARGO TANGA( 6 ), with 12 losing ground checking HALLY MULWEE( 3 ) and MONROE NO MORE( 8 ), which both lost ground, and GOLDEN CENTURY( 5 ) struck the running rail, causing GOLDEN CENTURY( 5 ) to lose ground sharply colliding with HALO NISMO( 7 ). KNIGHT ZIPPER( 1 ) and STEEL PANTHER( 7 ) were slow to begin. In two separate incidents at the first turn, IROQUOIS( 2 ) was checked off the heels of SWEET EMOTION( 3 ), with IROQUOIS( 2 ) losing ground, hampering GLORIOUS GAIN( 9 ), and STEEL PANTHER( 7 ) galloped on the back of HARRY’S DOUBLE( 8 ), also losing ground. Shortly after, KNIGHT ZIPPER( 1 ) galloped on the back of SWEET EMOTION( 3 ), and lost ground. GLORIOUS GAIN( 9 ) raced wide at the home turn. IROQUOIS( 2 ) was vetted and was found to have sustained a lacerated toe on the near side hind foot. 7 Days Incapacitation Certificate issued. Stewards spoke to the winning trainer regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr Carter advised Stewards that the greyhound had been racing without luck, striking interference at his past few runs, after beginning slowly. With the benefit of a better start tonight, the greyhound was able to find the lead early, with the win not surprising Mr Carter. Stewards noted Mr Carter’s remarks, however notwithstanding, had FAR FETCHED( 6 ) locked away with a urine sample to be obtained due to the improved performance.
