Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Neurosurgery rotations: 6/2007 – 10/2016 2. Temple University School of Medicine Clinical Neurosurgery rotations: 6/2007 - 10/2016 Resident 1. Neurosurgery Physician’s Assistant Residency Program: One of only two programs currently available in the United States to offer advanced training for PAs, NPs, and other advanced practitioners. The residency consists of 6 months of didactics and related field rotations and 6 months of practical hands on experience in clinical neurosurgery rotations. 2. Neurology Residency Program: A fully ACGME accredited neurology program at Geisinger Health System which began 7/2012. Four residents per year are trained in community and subspecialty neurology with a focus on clinical effectiveness research hosted at the Geisinger Medical Center and under the direction of Jonathan Hosey, MD, FAAN. 3. Neurosurgery Residency Program: A fully ACGME accredited neurosurgery residency program at Geisinger Health System which began 07/2013. The program is a 7 years of training in subspecialty neurosurgery with one year of clinical or laboratory research at Geisinger Medical Center and Geisinger Wyoming Valley developed under the direction of Shelly Timmons, MD, PhD, FACS, FAANS. Fellow 1. Geisinger Health System Surgical Neuro-oncology Fellowship: This is a one to two year program in neurosurgical oncology which develops advanced clinical and research training in basic science and clinical / translational research in topics related to brain and spinal tumor care. The first fellow entered 9/2015. 2. Lifespan Health System / Brown University Surgical Neuro-oncology Fellowship: This is a one to two year program in neurosurgical oncology which develops advanced clinical and research training in basic science and clinical / translational research in topics related to brain and spinal tumor care. The first fellow is anticipated 7/2015.
