Steve Leybourne - History Using Super Learner points to gain 100% homework return! A combination of issuing super learner points, the threat of professional conduct lunchtime detentions and a keep it simple approach to History homework has helped achieve 100% return levels for all of my History classes homework. Keeping it simple by producing a half term supply of homework that is stuck into each student’s planner, displayed outside the History classrooms and that is also accessible on the VLE means that the excuses for not doing homework are kept to a minimum. Each lesson when homework is issued the student is only required to write the number of the homework and the day it is due, keeping it simple for everyone. Homework that is completed to an acceptable standard and that is on time is rewarded with Super Learner points and this no excuse for not doing homework approach has certainly reaped rewards in more ways than one.
