Mobilised Policing

• Mobility – using technology to connect police in real time to enterprise systems and information needed for them to operate autonomously anywhere at any time

• As contemporary technology is an enabler of mobility, so mobility enables service delivery transformation for contemporary policing

Using Technology to Mobilise Policing

• The dividends from mobility include increased productivity and effectiveness.

• The time savings from keeping officers in the field equipped with systems that are quicker and more accurate are directed towards other policing demands and allows the QPS to consider its future growth modelling from a more sophisticated perspective rather than just more blue shirts.

• It also means better and more complete intelligence available to and collected by police, which supports a greater focus on prevention and deterrence, rather than just reactive policing.
