Richard Mayne BSc (Hons) Richard started working for Integra Technical Services in Sydney as a Senior Adjuster in 2016. Richard holds a First Class Honours Degree in Building Surveying and originally was engaged in the property and construction sectors having provided technical advice to property managers, property owners and Insurers. In 2012 Richard commenced his career as a loss adjuster for a major Australian based firm, specialising in technical construction and property losses. Typical assignments included structural collapses involving defects in construction methodology, landslip causing damage to gas pipelines, gas turbine explosion, flood and storm damage to underground boring and roads under construction. Prior to joining Integra Technical Services, Richard worked for a major global insurer handling complex property and energy losses, including CAR, ISR and Business Pack policies. Typical assignments included gas pipeline losses, windfarms, railway incidents (both track and equipment damage), manufacturing facilities and hospitals. Although based in Australia, this involved handling losses globally including Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Richard is currently completing a diploma of Loss Adjusting with the Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters (AICLA) and in 2013 was awarded the inaugural Carey Bird Scholarship. The winning paper was based on the topic of Indemnity vs Reinstatement settlements in ISR policies and the prize was to attend the AICLA claims convention in Singapore.
