STEP is a Trainee Exchange Programme that enables law students and young lawyers to gain frst hand experi-ence o the substansive and procedural law as well as the culture o another country. Te traineeships are between 2 weeks and 18 months and can take place in any law related area: law rms, courtspublic institutions, universities, banks, in-house legal departments, consulting rms and international organisation

Each year ELSA o ers several traineeship opportunities all over Europe and occasionally in other parts o the woBe ore and during the traineeship, ELSA provides assistance in nding accommodation, applying or visas, wnecessary, and organising social events to involve the trainee in the daily li e o the local community.
