N(A)*/N(T) School Leavers who Did not Apply after Main Phase Application [20 Dec 2018]

• All N(A)*/N(T) school leavers are encouraged to apply during the 1st Phase (Main Phase) between day of release of GCE ‘N’ results at on Mon 17 Dec 2018 at 2.30pm to Thu 20 Dec 2018 at 5pm.

• The 2nd Phase (Late Application/Appeal Phase) between 28 Dec 2018 to 2 Jan 2019

• Application results for 2nd Phase (Late Application/Appeal Phase) will be known on 9 Jan 2019 at 9am.

• Unsuccessful applicants can appeal under the 3rd Phase (Final Top-up Phase)between 9 Jan to 17 Jan 2019 and 22 Jan to 13 Feb 2019 for courses with vacancies.

*N(A) school leavers who are not eligible to progress/repeat in MOE schools.

Mathematics Qualifying Test (MQT)

• Students with at least 3 N level passes but did not pass Maths or Science

• This will enable students to qualify for more Nitec courses if they pass the MQT

• More information is available at the ITE website for admissions

• The MQT will comprise 15 multiple-choice questions and test duration is 45 minutes.

• The test result of the MQT will be known immediately after the test session. Applicants who fail MQT can still apply for other Nitec courses that they are eligible for.

• Nitec graduates, who meet the Minimum Entry Requirement (MER) for Higher Nitec courses, can apply through the Nitec Progression to Higher Nitec intake exercise (NCHN).

• ITE offers a wide range of full-time Higher Nitec courses in the following areas at the three colleges.

• The attachment in slide A2 details the mapping of the Nitec courses to the Higher Nitec courses for progression. An extract is shown in the slide.
