Google Plus and my favorite feature of this great social network, Google Plus Hangouts, are increasing in popularity as people begin to comprehend their tremendous power for reach and visibility. As more and more people start to host their own Hangout series, they'll eventually need speakers for their shows. Chances are, if you an expert in a particular topic, you'll be invited to speak at one of these shows. In this presentation, I offer a step-by-step guide for speakers who are invited for the first time as a guest to an HOA. It is aimed at making life easier for both Hangout hosts and speakers who maybe new to Google Plus or hangouts.

•Remove copy righted material that is visible to the camera•Turn off any background copy righted music
Image quality
•Be sure your are well lit from a light source that is coming from behind your camera.

• Provide your host with a short bio, talking points and a headshot (in case there will be a flyer)

•As much as you can, don’t cancel your speaking engagement at the last minute.
•Don’t leave installing the required app (slide 11) to the last minute
•Make an effort to do a practice hangout ahead of your speaking engagement to minimize running into technical issues.
