SOUND

Sounds waves are made of vibrations, sound waves can travel through gases, solid, and liquids. When sound waves reach your ear, your eardrum vibrates, enabling you to hear the sound.

1.What does pitch describe about a sound?

2.Could you hear under water?

3.How does a harp make sound?

vibrate, how do you think it goes through a solid or

liquid?

Hands on work: Making a phone

Students will make a “phone” using two empty glasses and a long string

Activity in class

Draw a picture of the activity and write the conclusions about how solid can vibrate and transmit sound.
