Step 1Start by photocopying the other side of this sheet and giving one to each pupil. Then line up various art materials like pens, chalk and coloured paper. We always recommend an adult cuts the invitations out and glues decorations on.

Step 2Get your pupils to customise and create their invitations. Depending on how old they are, you might need to help them with writing the date and time of your Coffee Morning.

Step 3Encourage them to take their invitations home to hand out and remind them that any spares can still be used as decorations for the big day.

This activity sheet will help all your pupils design their own gingerbread character invitations for your Coffee Morning. Once they’ve had fun

creating them, they’ll be able to hand them out to friends and family. Don’t forget, any invites that go unused also make great decorations for

your cake stall and display boards.
