Our Journey
Provide STEM experiences to all Middle School students in order to understand the opportunities for using science, technology, engineering and mathematics within and beyond school.

Leading Change
• Communication has been one of the critical keys to success.• Keeping all of the teachers at the three middle schools informed about our action plan and information on
STEM and STEM lessons is helping everyone transition into the NGSS and working on transforming the curriculum to be more STEM focused.
• Meeting three times a year at SNL is not enough to in keep the STEM momentum going.
• We had to create opportunities for collaboration across the three schools.
• The best time spent has been when we can get together and simply share what we are doing and bounce ideas off of one another.

•Middle School Professional Development -develop STEM Lessons and develop lessons with CCSS and NGSS• Implemented lessons from SLN and Application in
Engineering•All middles schools had STEM night•All middles schools had engineers in the
classroom•Collecting Science Articles to support CCSS and
STEM in our classroom
