PSNS & IMF is located near Seattle, Washington and is operated by the United Sates Navy to overhaul,
modernize, and maintain naval vessels such as aircraft carriers and submarines. The majority of the employees,
including approximately 2,000 engineers, are civilian. Engineers at PSNS & IMF work on projects involving
testing, vibration analysis, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and modernization of combat systems,
communication equipment, navigation systems, propulsion systems, ship structures, and nuclear reactor
plants.
A portion of the work requires travel to many places around the world with the majority of the travel being in
