We, the Heyl Brothers, have already successfully created lms in many genres. However,we’ve always felt a desire to create a brutal, masculine Viking action movie. An epic talewith a deeper layer underneath. We’ve invited Manon Polare to accompany us on this journey, together we’ve developed a thrilling fantasy tale with strong USP’s listed below.

1. Joined forces by connecting the movie to an international album release 2. Use of new post-production techniques HDR and EDI 3. Commercial Crowdfunding, a new developed

crowdfunding concept, connecting business toart in a mutual benecial way.

4. The fantasy genre is not commonly used in the Dutch industry and from aglobal perspective the story and genre are universal.

5. On a personal level this movie is a new, exciting challenge and we’recondent on fullling this dream together with our talented, trustworthyAction Reaction Productions crew.

We’re creating a short epic fantasy movie, the story is told by a voice overof one of the characters. Stellar is a fairytale about the origin of mankindand a erce battle between the opposing forces of good and evil. Stunningmusic will accompany the cinematographic art. Stellar is a cross-over project and connected to an internationalalbum release of the band “Stellar”, created by Manon Polare and Joshua Petit. They’ve written a special song tofeature the movie, and parts of the movie will be integrated in the video accompanying the album release.So, we’ll be creating a short movie and a music video simultaneously.

Be ready for Vikings, nature, mystical inuences, slow-motion, re, water, magic and mindblowing costumes, masks& make-up. It’s going to be EPIC!

“The Fall” meets “Krull” within a 30 minute running time. A classic fairytale aboutthe origin of mankind and a erce battle between the opposing forces of good andevil. Duality displayed in an earthlike arena in another dimension. The story’s fullof ancient symbolism and wisdom, these topics always intrigued me and triggeredmy imagination as a lmmaker. Together with Manon Polare we combined severalaspects of these fascinating topics into a fairytale with a classic three-act structure

and a clear narrative.

A story can be told in a million ways, but above all we value authenticity. Ourauthentic approach denes our work, it’s the Heyl Brothers signature. One of ourstandards included the use of new techniques in digital workow, some of whichwe developed. Techniques that serve the storytelling by adding an extra dimen-sion to the scene. The techniques used in this movie will be a display of 7 years ofresearch, testing and developing. This will be the ultimate showcase of our talentsand our bridge to a full feature lm. We’re now surrounded by an amazing talentedteam, which we formed throughout the years. We are nally gathering somebudget, which gives us the opportunity to expand our horizon like never before.The time is ripe to reap what we’ve so eagerly sowed:

1930, when 8 year old Lotus questions the meaning of hername, her grandfather has an extraordinairy tale to tell.

The story takes her to the very beginning of mankindwhere innocence is created in a male, Kreios, and a female, Ishtar.

When Kreios’s heart is inltrated by evil, Ishtar is forced to leave the world.Centuries go by while the darkness poisons the lands, but not all hope is lost.

When the sixth and nal birth of innocence takes place, evil decides on destroyingit. Kreios, now a mighty Viking king, is summoned and fully posessed to lead the

battle with his Viking warriors. While Ishtar, ready to return, is bound to protect the lasthope of mankind. In a thrilling, epic battle, the future of the entire world is at stake.

Full Synopsis

1930, when 8 years old Lotus questions the meaning of her name, her grandfather has anextraordinary tale to tell. His story takes her on a journey to where it once all began, whenraging elements ruled our planet. When their rst alliance was forged a new balancemanifested, giving birth to innocence by the creation of a male (Kreios) and a female (Ishtar).Both unaware of the evil (Celthor) also incarnated on their planet, they form a magical openunion. Hungry for power, the dark force is attracted and nds a way into the heart of Kreios,forcing Ishtar to retrieve from her beloved world. Many centuries go by and slowly the darknessruns deep in the soil, poisoning the earth. Meanwhile Ishtar awaits her return, providing herpower only for a select secret group of followers: the order of Merkabah.

A new hope for mankind lights the skies when Aaron is born, he presents the sixth and nalbirth of innocence. When Aaron retrieves the lost power of Ishtar in his heart, Celthor knowsand longs for his destruction. Possessed by evil Kreios, now a mighty Viking king, gathers agroup of Viking warriors and sets out to destroy the young Aaron. Protected by the order ofMerkabah, Aaron is taken to a sacred ritual where Ishtar is summoned back to earth. WhenIshtar returns in a Merkabah of blue light, the reunion is quickly disturbed by Kreios and hisbloodthirsty Vikings. Most of the Merkabah followers are killed in a erce and epic battle,protecting Ishtar who’s ed the scene with the last hope for mankind. After a thrilling chasethrough the woods Ishtar and her six stand face to face with Kreios and his warriors. In a nal,brutal attack Kreios jumps to destroy Ishtar with his erce aming sword. Suddenly the earth

trembles and an enormous power manifests in Ishtar, enforced by the six. A giant spurt ofwater emerges from Ishtars hands, destroying Kreios and his sword. Ahriman is defeated andthe Viking warriors ee the scene. In the smoking ashes of Kreios’s remains a newborn baby isfound. Ishtar recognizes her soul companion and takes him with her. In the newfound harmony,together they walk into the deep forest and disappear.



The Heyl Brothers (Justin Heyl & Joël Heyl) are two talented award winning lmmakers who decided tokeep it in the family when they teamed up as a producing/directing duo. Both graduated at the prestigious

Utrecht school of arts, they are ready to seriously “kick some ass”. They seem to hold the ingredients forcinematographic gold. arly in life Manon developed a strong interest in music and dance, as a young girl shetarted writing songs to express her thoughts and emotions. Like a diary she kept themor herself, secretly dreaming of becoming a singer one day. When she heard aboutuditions for a local theatre play at the age of 16 she decided to give it a try... and goterself a part! The play turned out to be a success as they performed at festivals acrosshe country. Manon didn’t stay un-noticed, a producer saw her perform and asked heror his “pop” project, they recorded 2 singles and a video. The following years she

worked on several projects, exploring different styles of music to keep developing herself.n 1999 she decided to take a rest from it all and started travelling, while discovering newlaces she fell in love with Mexico and got herself a job as a piano-bar singer and dancer in a small diner-show. Singing andancing every day gave her the condence she needed to make the next steps. After living in the sun for a year she decided toet her songs “out there” and moved back to Holland. While working as a M.C/Vocalist in clubs she met a couple of producers

who wanted to work with her and within a year she signed her rst publishing-deal. After releasing a few dance records,ncluding the major hit single “The beat goes on”, she wanted more and felt ready to work on her own songs and discover herwn style. A friend told her about the “Tiesto’s search for talent” contest and encouraged her to send him a tape. Esmaye won!

Out of hundreds of contestants they chose her for her exceptional voice and qualities as a songwriter and offered her aecord-deal. She released her debut single “Easy” and soon after that the world’s most famous DJ asked her to accompany himn his “Just Be” tour. Together they performed at prestigious festivals throughout Europe. After the tour she totally committederself to her own career. She wrote and released her debut album “Elements in Me” alongside two beautiful videos in7 countries worldwide. Now she’s back in the studio working on her 2nd album & writing for several EDM collaborations.

oshua Petit is an upcoming composer/producer with a big feel for epicness.eaving a magical touch on every production, Joshua is denitely set forreatness. With an already impressive contribution to the Dutch movie scenend his own sounddesign company, Stellar seemed a logical step on his pathowards the stars.

We work with an amazing loyal crew, they’ve all shown their dedication over the past three years and we’ve all created manymazing productions! An exact crew list will follow.

Action Reaction Productions is passionate about cinematography, we aim to deliverexceptional value to every production. The current industry is full of talent, a story can betold in a million ways by a million people. We distinguish ourselves by our capability todevelop new audiovisual technologies. Action Reaction Productions created “EDI” (extremedetail image), a technical interpretation to post-workow on high end 4k digital rawfootage. In 2012 we produced a short “The Spirit: Done in 60 seconds”, which featuresa combination of EDI and our interpretation of the visual style created in “Sin City” &“The Spirit”. We were extremely challenged by the 48hrs contest for which we created“Carnivore”. Ultimately we were able to deliver a high end production with a technical levelrarely achieved in this contest. We are currently in the process of creating our nextambitious challenges: “MOTION BULLET TIME©”, “INTERACTIVE REACTION 2.0©” &“HDR-EDI©”. Techniques that contribute to the story without overpowering them, leavinga footprint we would like transform into our trademark.

A NEW TAKE ON “CREDIT SEQUENCE”

Action Reaction Productions aims to deliver a full concept for every production, fromopening sequence to end credits. This led to a new development for end credits, verydifferent from the current industry standards. Guided by our strong believe in teamworkwe exclusively photographed our entire cast & crew, giving them their moment of fame inthe end credits. This is our “Face-by-the-name” principle, and even got us an award when werst applied it for the 48HRS contest. This was a rst for 48HRS worldwide, as they inventedthe award especially for Action Reaction Productions.This was a great honor and encouragement. An advantage of this way of displaying endcredits is keeping the audience alert until the end, which is benecial for sponsors andcollaborating companies.

Besides our “Face-by-the-name” end credits principle we also display our cast & crew onposters. Besides the ofcial posters for marketing purposes we also design cast & crewposters in style of the production. We always plan a photo shoot on the set to give usawesome footage to work with.

Action Reaction Productions loves lm companions. It’s a great way to view your ownproduction from rst draft to nished product. We hire special set photographers on everyproduction to capture each moment. We ensure not just the key players (actors, directors,producers) are portrayed, but everyone working on the set. From runner to posterdesigner, from make-up artist to grip. Everyone contributes their part to the nal product.We will always do our best to respect and live by this value. Experience teaches us that it’snot only a nice book to reect on but also a way to keep the team spirit high.
