Easysteel offers modular parts for railings, in materials such as stainless steel, zinc, aluminium and duplex.

The products are of the highest quality with a simple, ele-gant Scandinavian design.Our railings and systems can be seen in private homes, public buildings, Retail outlets and company environments all over Europe.You can assemble your stainless steel railing with either vertical or horizontal rods, wire or wire net. Perhaps you may want a glass infill or glass wall instead. This can be achieved by fixing the glass with either glass holders, brackets, anchors or a glazing channel.

You can equip all our railing systems with handrails in the shape of tubes and slotted tubes in materials such as steel and different types of wood.

It is a common misconception that stainless steel does not rust. Your steel railing is put to the test in an ever-changing

environment, particularly when it comes to an outdoor instal-lation. Your steel products will be affected by the changing weather, acid rain, chlorine or salt-water vapor, brake dust or other things that you might not consider. Fortunately, there are some general guidelines if you wish to avoid rust on your railings.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?If you want to prolong the longevity of your stainless steel railing, then it needs to be maintained regularly.

First of all, it is always a good idea to “passivate” the surface of your products, in connection with the installation. This is done by washing the railing with a damp cloth, containing plain citric acid. The aim of the passivation of stainless steel is to maintain a passive surface and at the same time remove iron and other metals, thus ensuring a corrosion-resistant surface.

It is of the utmost importance to point out, that a stainless steel railing is like many other products. Nothing is main-tenance-free. Wood needs treatment, windows need to be polished and steel needs to be cleaned on a regular basis, if you want to maintain the same appearance of your railing as

when it was originally installed. Apart from regular cleaning, it is also important, that you choose the right material for the job. CHOICE OF MATERIALRemember, that all products made from AISI 304 is mostly suitable for indoor use, while products made from AISI 316 is suitable for both in- and outdoor installation. Duplex is the strongest material that we use, and is therefore the mate-rial which has the strongest resistance towards aggressive environments. In most cases our Easy Steel stainless steel fittings can be delivered with two different kinds of surfaces: Satin or Mirror pol.. Both types can be used in an outdoor installation, but it is the Mirror pol. version which has the greatest resistance towards external exposures.

MAINTENANCE?A railing with high longevity is among other things charac-terized by a design with few or no open cracks and cavities, where dirt and dust can accumulate and cleaning is difficult. We recommend that you review your railings at least once a year, to ensure that it appears as neat as possible. Remember – you will benefit from a thorough cleaning on two accounts, by improving the appearance and prolonging the lifetime of your railings.
