Who are we?The Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS) is the Certification Bodyspecifically for companies engaged in the design, manufacture and installation ofstructural steelwork and its associated products and services. SCCS is a whollyowned subsidiary of the British Constructional Steelwork Association Ltd (BCSA).

The objective of the Scheme is to secure high standards of excellence and qualityacross all processes, procedures and practices in the steelwork industry throughindependent certification to specific standards.

SCCS is the natural partner for steelwork contractors and component manufacturersfollowing the route to CE Marking certification.

SCCS is a Notified Body able to assess and certify your Factory Production Control(FPC) system.

Implementation and maintenance of a suitable FPC system is a key requirement ofCE marking Certification. SCCS can undertake a gap analysis if you are preparing anFPC system, but do not feel ready for the certification audit.

If you already use SCCS services, the FPC assessment can be incorporated into otherscheduled visits to keep costs down.
