Steadvale Servicing

Our Servicing division provides our core services of plannedmaintenance for Compressors and ancillary equipment, suchas Dryers. Our maintenance contracts are individually tailoredto suit the customer’s needs and we minimise the disruptioncaused by equipment breakdowns.

Dryer Parts

Our Dryer Servicing side work very closely with theCompressor Servicing division and due to the expansion of thebusiness we now have a range of Dryer parts, for example;

Steadvale received an enquiry from Burckhardt Compression(UK) Ltd to refurbish a compressor cylinder from a Gasapplication plant within the UK. This unit was critical to thecontinued air supply on their site. The cylinder was sent toour factory for inspection and assessment. To start with wecaustic cleaned the unit and carried out a full dimensionalinspection.

This confirmed that the Cylinder Bore was out of specifica-tion and therefore was unable to be reinstalled back on thecompressor in this condition. A full report was then sent tothe customer on the scope of work required. After customerapproval, the unit undertook a precision machining processrestoring the cylinder back to the original manufacturer’sspecification, relining the bore of the unit and carrying out afull Hydrastatic Pressure Test returning the unit back to theoriginal manufacturer’s specification. Finally the unit wasthen spray painted, packaged and returned back toBurckhardt.
