FROM THE DESK OF MSGR. DANIEL DEUTSCH
Dear Parishioners, I’m writing this from my annual priest retreat. This year I’m on retreat at Franciscan University for the Priest, Deacon and Seminarian Conference. One of the talks my Dr. Mary Healy was about all the sources of disunity that we face in our lives and how Jesus’ whole mission was to make all things one in Him. After the talk we prayed with and over each other for healing in any part of our ministries where we experience separation or division. How often do we pray for healing or pray for the healing of those we love for unity and integration in our lives. It’s important because the devil works overtime to separate us from ourselves, each other and Jesus. He uses sin, loneliness, anger and shame to create a world where we can feel isolated and helpless. Our response has to be confidence that whatever we experience as a source of disintegration in our lives can be reintegrat-ed though the Lord who comes and heals and saves. So, come to Him so He can heal and save you. After the healing prayer we had Adoration and a beautiful movement of the Lord among us during Adoration where we were able to worship and reach out to Him. Jesus is in our Adoration Chapel 24/6 waiting for us to come so He can heal all the divisions we experience. Please accept my invitation to sign up for an hour or just stop by on your way to or from work. Even better come with your spouse or one of your kids so that you can share the gift of prayer and healing with the ones you love. I also invite you to our monthly Festival of Praise on the 2nd Mondays at 7pm in Church. It resembles the reflections, music and Adoration (the Blessed Sacrament is processed throughout the pews and touched to the head of each person) that I ex-perienced on my retreat. Also, please consider going to one extra Mass a week during a weekday morning. This is a beau-tiful way to start the day, a great witness to your family and a source of grace that extends healing and blessing to your week. Finally, take advantage of our daily Confessions. WE HAVE CONFESSIONS EVERY DAY! Frequent Confession chang-es lives through grace, healing and accountability. Healing from separation can be had every single day. Peace, Msgr. Here are a couple of photos from Adoration during my retreat. P.S. As the retreat finished Friday, I greeted our 2 busloads of teens arriving for the Youth Conference. All the priests will be here then for the weekend. Please excuse our absence at Masses this weekend as we minister to the teens.

Flame of Faith Intentions
In the sanctuary of St. Bridget Church, the Presence Lamp burns to let us know that Christ is present. The 4 vigil lights around the Blessed Sacrament in the Adoration Chapel also burn to let us know that Christ is present. You can make a personal inten-tion request for one week while the candles burn. This can be in memory of a loved one or for another special intention. We will note who the intention is for in the bulletin. For the Pres-ence Lamp in the sanctuary, a $10.00 candle donation is sug-gested. For the vigil lights around the Blessed Sacrament in the Adoration Chapel, a $40.00 candle donation is suggested. These donations help provide candles for the church. If you have any questions, please contact Pam in the parish office at 815-633-6311.

Respect Life Ministry~ Be Not Afraid During the month of June we will be praying for all Fathers, Grand-fathers, God Fathers, and all men who have given us courage and compassion throughout our lives. Thank you for all the gifts to the Pregnancy Care Cen-ter and for praying for your Spiritually Adopted ba-by the past 9 months. Fortnight for Freedom – June 21-July 4 2018 Help to protect the Religious Freedom in The United States of America by praying this prayer for the Fortnight. Prayer for Protection of Religious Liberty O God our Creator, from your provident hand we have received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as your people and given us the right and duty to worship you, the only true God, and your Son, Jesus Christ. Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel to every corner of society. We ask you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threat-ened, give us courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith. Grant, we pray O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all your sons and daugh-ters gathered in your Church in this decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that, with every trial withstood and every danger overcome – for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us – this great land will always be “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
MARY’S CORNER
When I was growing up, I remember my grand-
mother praying her rosary softly in Polish. I
always liked listening to her pray her ro-
sary. My grandmother brought me closer to Our
Lady through her example. Do you have any
examples of your parents or grandparents doing
things like this that you can share with your kids or grand-
kids? What a wonderful tribute it would be to Our Lady and pos-
sibly a family tradition that you could start. Something that could
be passed down from generation to generation.
Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Are you burdened with a problem and feel
you have nowhere to turn for help? The
Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help
might be the place to find an answer. Many prayers
have been answered by petitioning the Blessed Moth-
er under the title "Our Lady of Perpetual Help”.
Please join us every Wednesday at 5:30 pm in the
church as we petition our Blessed Mother for her help
with all our needs. Place yourself in the hands of the
Blessed Mother for her powerful help!
There is Benediction every Satur-day in the chapel at 1:00 PM.
SPIRIT AFLAME CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP
