floor.

Mercer Mayer Say: There are many things that happen in a story. We call these details. Let’s read to find out the details in the story. Read and emphasize through intonation but not stopping the story flow.
2. Show students the book if printed form virtual backpack. Expose students to story
details using concrete objects, picture icons& icons with texture.
3. Read to support story details.

Materials
Glue Paper plate various flavors of jello or kool aid
Directions:
1. Drizzle the glue onto the plate, using random directions
2. Sprinkle the jello or kool aid over the glue, covering it all.
3. Shake off the excess jello or kool aid and observe what happens:
As the jello or kool aid gets wet, the glue changes color!
4. Let dry, then gently scratch and sniff your design!

Soda bottles-any size will work
Directions
1. Draw or paint a tree with branches on paper.
2. Dip the bottom of the soda a 2 bottle into
the paint.
3. Press the end of the bottle with the paint on
it on the tree branches.
