Season’s open !

Summer is finally here and the rubber is burning.

For this edition :

- we took our wheels down to the superb speed ring of Month-léry, France, for the second edition of Iron Bikers. The tracks left us speechless, what a place !

- a bit further down the road, we paid a visit to Vintage Rides’ HQ in New Delhi, India. These passionate riders organise journeys on Royal Enfields, they are all about dust, adventure, discovery and amazing roads. Touch and go, but cannot wait to go back … on the road this time.

- in our garden we covered the Bikers’ Classics at Francor-champs, we love to hate our country for its weather, but when it comes to motorcycling, sorry but … yeah we rule !

- introducing a new serie of bikers portraits, we met up with Este-ban Moulin, an artist, a father, a friend, a plane pilot and a biker (choose the order). Wheels mean nothing without the soul.

- last … but not least we have the pleasure to feature some of the work of Kristina Fender, a very talented photographer based in Spain. Kristina’s pictures hit our retina a while ago, we love the feeling, the action she delivers without compromises.

That’s it for now, enjoy !

Three days of classic races on (one of) the most beautiful track of the world, plus, a 4 Hours endurance race by night and the presence of many legends (Doug Pollen, Raymond Roche, Stéphane Mertens just to name a few).

Bikers’ Classics at Spa Francorchamps is ob-viously the event you can’t miss! Postpone your wedding, forget about your grandma 90th bir-thday, insist on your pregnant wife not to give birth ‘til the week-end is over and just go to Francorchamps!

ironbikers_Iron Bikers, «motos de caractères only» («Ba-dass bikes only»), was a great mix of very dif-ferent bikes, from different periods and even more different faces, all reunited at the legen-dary track of Montlhéry next to Paris.

No races, no pressure, no podiums, just the pleasure of being part of this revival and, most of all, to ride full throttle on this amazing speed ring.

Back when his schoolmates where having fun with BMX’s or mopeds on a wasteland, Esteban was in the air seated behind the controls of a sailplane and took great pleasure in flying over them to salute.

It’s only at the commands of those flying giants that he could experience again the freedom he first felt in his childhood when one put a brush in his hand and he discovered that he could sketch everything straight out of his mind, with no restrictions.

Being graduated in Fine Arts in Paris, he pur-sues his artistic approach on monumental pain-tings transposing the world he sees when at 2000 feet in his fiberglass bird.

Daily commuting on a motorcycle is for Este-ban the only way to transpose on the road this feeling of freedom he gets while in the air or painting, coming from fluid and spontaneous gestures, just like a Sailplane flight.

Esteban Moulin Art Painter, father of a 9 years old // 1997 Monster 600 on the road // 2004 Discus Sailplane in the air.

Fine Arts Bachellor, she has been working for years as an advertising photographer and fashion. Five years from now discovered the motorcycle world and got in love with the smell of gas and burnt tarmac, she also is a sidecar racer as a copy.

Since then she has been hitting any circuit she could to capture the moments in which riding and rider becomes one.

For her theses images are more than a simple picture, she concentrates on feelings and real emotions, as she says, she does not think that is love the one that rules the world but something a bit more obscure , and beautifull I´d say.

kristina She feel that life is a big journey, stopping on any little detail. Kristina Fender says that her images are fragments of one life, or fragments where you could see an entire life. I think that her photos are what we are, and they belong to the collective imaginery, dreams, passions and defeats of all of us.

In her blog, there is a journey, a few sunsets, and nature..... mainly human nature, there are urban tribes, roads, humor, certain melancholy suported under serenity, there is also efforts, generosity and meeting and commun places for the soul, beautifull.

As she says: Fear, rage, anger, loneliness, pas-sions..... all theses emotion build our character and they are the engine to take chances in this life.More info on Kristina Fender: www.kristinafender.com
