Data can be collected and put on multiple kinds of graphs. Common graphs used are the bar
graph, circle graph, and line graph.
A population is a collection, or set, of individuals, objects, or events whose properties are to be analyzed
A qualitative variable is a variable of the data that describes or categorizes and element of a population
A quantitative, or numerical, variable is a variable that quantifies an element of a population
A quantitative variable A quantity variable consists of numbers or a set of values, such as
surveying a group of 15 blondes, 15 brunettes, and 15 redheads
A qualitative variable
A qualitative variable can involve only surveying a group of blonde-haired people or a group of brunette-haired people or a group of red-haired people
Population can also be broken down into a sample, finite population, and infinite population.
