Station 1: Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel O come, O come, Emmanuel And ransom captive Israel That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer Our spirits by Thine advent here Disperse the gloomy clouds of night And death's dark shadows put to flight. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, Thou Key of David, come, And open wide our heavenly home; Make safe the way that leads on high, And close the path to misery. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. Romans 8:20-25 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) Prayer Points: For those who are yearning in their hearts to find God, may they find the light of Christ this Christmas. For those who are weary in following Christ, may they find strength and encouragement to continue forward this Christmas season. May their hearts be renewed with the hope that Jesus brings to us.

Romans 8:20-25Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. Station 2: Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem

:

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lieAbove thy deep and dreamless sleep, the silent stars go by

Yet in thy dark streets shineth, the everlasting LightThe hopes and fears of all the years, are met in thee tonight

For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all aboveWhile mortals sleep, the angels keep, their watch of wondering love

O morning stars together, proclaim the holy birthAnd praises sing to God the King, and Peace to men on earth

How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is given!So God imparts to human hearts, the blessings of His heaven.

No ear may his His coming, but in this world of sin,Where meek souls will receive him still, the dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we prayCast out our sin and enter in, be born to us today

We hear the Christmas angels, the great glad tidings tellO come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel

Micah 5:2-5 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past. The people of Israel will be abandoned to their enemies until the woman in labor gives birth. Then at last his fellow countrymen will return from exile to their own land. And he will stand to lead his flock with the Lord’s strength, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. Then his people will live there undisturbed, for he will be highly honored around the world. And he will be the source of peace.

Luke 2:1-6At that time the Roman emperor, Augustus, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the Roman Empire. (This was the first census taken when Quirinius was governor of Syria.) All returned to their own ancestral towns to register for this census. And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancée, who was now obviously pregnant. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

Prayer Points: • For those who who find themselves in challenging situations, may they invite Him into

the details of their life, that he might bring his good out of their undesired circumstances.

• For those who have made no room for Christ, may they open their hearts to him this Christmas.

Station 3: The First Noel

The First Noel, the Angels did sayWas to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay

In fields where they lay keeping their sheepOn a cold winter's night that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, NoelBorn is the King of Israel!

Luke 2:8-19That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.

Matthew 5:3“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Philippians 2:5-11You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Prayer Points:

• Thank you God for revealing yourself to all people regardless of their status or wealth. May we be humble like you and serve those around us without expectation of repayment.

• For those who are poor in spirit, may they find the richness of your kingdom this Christmas.

Station 4: We Three Kings

We three kings of Orient are

Bearing gifts we traverse afar

Field and fountain, moor and mountain

Following yonder star

O Star of wonder, star of night

Star with royal beauty bright

Westward leading, still proceeding

Guide us to thy Perfect Light

Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.” And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Prayer Points:

• Thank you God for showing in your birth that you came for all - rich and poor, those who belonged and those who were foreigners. Please let us show your loving welcome to those who come looking for you this Christmas.

• Pray for generosity this Christmas. That people would see past programs and buildings and give to God as an act of sacrifice and worship.

Station 5: Joy to the World

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare Him room,And Heaven and nature sing,And Heaven and nature sing,

And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!Let men their songs employ;

While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plainsRepeat the sounding joy,Repeat the sounding joy,

Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,Nor thorns infest the ground;

He comes to make His blessings flowFar as the curse is found,Far as the curse is found,

Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness,And wonders of His love,And wonders of His love,

And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Luke 4:18, 19“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

• Pray that people will see and know that Christ came for them and they will freely accept him and experience joy that comes by knowing him.

Station 6: Angels We Have Heard On High

Angels we have heard on highSweetly singing o'er the plains,

And the mountains in replyEchoing their joyous strains.

:Gloria, in excelsis Deo!Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?Why your joyous strains prolong?

What the gladsome tidings beWhich inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Bethlehem and seeChrist Whose birth the angels sing;

Come, adore on bended knee,Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

See Him in a manger laid,Whom the choirs of angels praise;

Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,While our hearts in love we raise.

Luke 2:6-14While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Prayer Points:

• Pray that those who need to experience Christ this Christmas will hear and come. Pray for all our methods of communication from the web to printed media and simple personal invites.

• Pray for hearts to be open to Him, inviting in the truth and release of any strongholds keeping them from celebrating His gift to us.
