A single locator system with access to all Colorado library holdings, and the functionality for patrons to request materials, and the ability for libraries to share standardized catalog records will be developed and implemented (i.e. federated locator system).

Staff efficiency improvement with merging of circulation and ILL activities
Request for a lender becomes a hold in the local ILS
Receiving a request by a borrower creates the circulation record and hold for the library patron
Demonstrate that NCIP works with libraries on different ILS systems – no need for single ILS system
Other Initiatives
• Exploring requesting across state boundaries– Testing completed with Wyoming– Beginning testing with Kansas
