Purpose of Document

This document outlines the general scope of the project based on discussions to date. The main objective at this stage is to ensure that all parties agree upon the general scope, budget and schedule of the project prior to commencing work on subsequent stages.

Clients are urged to ensure that all the details contained within this proposal meet their requirements before further work commences. If the nature and scope of the project changes, costs and timings may need to be revised.Once this document has been approved, the project will progress into the next stages. This may include further documentation detailing requirements and functionality or it may go straight into design. This will depend on the nature of the project.

The Brief about Project 40 houses will be constructed in three divisional secretariats in Mullativu district to rehabilitate people. There will be 15 houses in Oddusudan , 15 houses in Puthukudirippu and 10 in Maritimepattu.The construction phase of the project will commence on 1st may 2015 and planned to complete in 36 months after commencing. Every house is single storey apartment composed of Living room, Living hall, Bedroom, Kitchen and an external toilet. Houses will be furnished with a floor area of 530 sq.fts. These houses have been designed for a single family in land extent of 10 perches.

Objectives and Business Requirements Main objective of this project is to construct houses for the rehabilitated people in Mullativu district. Reason behind our engagement behind this project is that this is a great opportunity to develop our exposure to foreign construction projects since this is driven via Indian Government. Also this would help us to develop our image in construction field whilst helping war affected people to build habitats to extend their standard of living. The business requirements of the internal stakeholders are described below. UN habitat: Wants to habitat war affected people Strengthen the relationship between member nations Show the power and capabilities within UN organization to other parties Improve skills of non-job recruited people via providing with employment Introduction of eco-friendly construction methodologies Transfer the message that UN Habitat serve the world at a greater scale

Indian government: Show the world parties that they serve the needy parties. Strengthen the Political stability of the central government Employ jobless people in construction sector Mercantile objectives Business via selling Indian build materials such as cement, transportation items and other materials Experiment with newly found materials Improve their maritime trading

Sri Lankan government: Improve the living conditions of people in war affected areas Breed job opportunities for the people in those areas Stabilize the political power of the government Improve the Diplomatic relationships Dissolve rehabilitation camps in those areas Spread the message that Sri Lanka is no more a war affected country Develop Infrastructure in war affected areas.

Target AudienceFamilies displaced due the 30 year Civil War in Sri Lanka in the Mullativu district. These 40 houses will be awarded to the selected beneficiaries.Detailed Scope of workWork that we perform in this project will be categorized into three different stages called Preliminary work, House Construction, Control Management. Followings will describe the work carried out on each of those stages and It will also show the sequence of the work within the particular stage. 1. House Construction Pouring Base Concrete Rubble Masonry work for foundation Gravel earth filling Ground beam placement Plumbing work by installing water lines Floor concreting Wall preparation Roof work by constructing timber framework, installing sheets and vents Electrical work by wiring Finishing work by installing doors & windows. Description

Initially 10 houses in OddusudanPlanned to complete in 300 days commencing from 1st of July 2015

Initially 10 houses in PuthukudirippuPlanned to complete in 300 days commencing from 1st of February 2016

Initially 5 houses in MaritimepattuPlanned to complete in 180 days commencing from 1st of September 2016

Finally 5 houses in MaritimepattuPlanned to complete in 180 days commencing from 1st of December 2017 and due to complete by June 30th 2018

Project is expected to deliver in accordance to the above shown deliverables table and provision of houses are done after a selection process carried out by Sri Lanka government for the 1st phase of the Project. Three procedures are expected to carry out in separate divisional secretariats.

Applicable Standards All the construction work will be carried out in accordance to the compliance of Department of Buildings in Sri Lanka and the standards set by Institute for Construction Training and Development (ICTAD) and our company do have ICTAD grading of C6, which qualifies us to attain with project duties.Further all the procurement work is done under the standards set by National Procurement Agency under the guidance of Ministry of Finance in Sri Lanka. For this Project invitation of bids and competitive proposals method is used in procurement.
