SAMPLE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE “Failures are pillars of success”. This proverb has motivated me to move forward at times when I had lost hope. I am Sandeep Krishna Nagrare alumni of VNIT Nagpur and former employee of Mahindra and Mahindra FES sector and currently lecturer in PIET Nagpur successfully got admission to pursue MSc Electrical and Electronic Systems and Digital Technologies with University of Glyndwr in September 2009 intake. During my 12th I had a strong passion to become an engineer so I worked diligently in physics, chemistry and mathematics and I got 97% in these subjects in secondary school exams. I scored 100 % in physics, 97% in mathematics and 94 % in chemistry. I was awarded by college with trophy of “100 marks in physics” and a certificate by Nagpur board. This motivated me to thrust myself headlong into subjects of my interests in the electrical Engineering department of VNIT Nagpur. VNIT has provided me with a better understanding of Electrical Engineering India’s production and consumption of electricity are dismally low in the world. India will have to produce and distribute many times more electrical power than what it does at present, to satisfy ever-growing demand; and that too more efficiently and hence my choice of Electrical Engineering as a career was a well thought one because I know that there is good potential for growth in the power sector of my country. At present, technology in generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy in India is almost medieval and needs thorough modernization. Like in every other field, power sector will heavily depend on IT, especially digital and wireless communication and control systems. I had gone through two months of industrial training at Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) Koradi Thermal Power Station to gain some experience of how different department works. It gave me lots of exposure in the field of power sector. Keeping this in mind I took three electives to secure more knowledge in these fields. They were power station practice, application of power electronics to power systems and non conventional energy sources .I also attended one day seminar held at National Power training institute at Nagpur to know the power plant familiarization and I finally chose my final year project from this field My B. Tech. project was "LOAD SHARING AND COMPLETE OVERDRAWAL OF IEEE 30 BUS SYSTEM” under guidance of Prof. B.S.UMRE. We used POWER SIMULATOR software to create 30 bus systems. Programming was done in MATLAB with the help of C++. Load flow analysis aims at determination of system parameters like voltage, current, power factor and power (real and reactive) flow at various points in the electric system under existing conditions of normal operation. This analysis helps in determining the scope of future expansion of the system, analysis of faults and in new system design I then got an opportunity to join Mahindra and Mahindra, FES (Farm Equipment Sector) division as a graduate engineer trainee in my campus placement Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Farm Equipment Sector [F.E.S.] is a First Tractor company outside Japan to win Deming award, Now India’s 1st Tractor Company to win JQM award in 2007. Also having QS 9000,ISO 14000 & OHSAS 18001 certification and prestigious Deming award in 2008 and now company is going for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to achieve ,Zero Breakdown , Zero Defect , Zero Losses, Zero Accidents , Zero Pollution, Zero Health Hazard .

“Failures are pillars of success”.

They were power station practice, application of power electronics to power systems and non conventional energy sources .I also attended one day seminar held at National Power training institute at Nagpur to know the power plant familiarization and I finally chose my final year project from this field

My B. Tech. project was "LOAD SHARING AND COMPLETE OVERDRAWAL OF IEEE 30 BUS SYSTEM” under guidance of Prof. B.S.UMRE. We used POWER SIMULATOR software to create 30 bus systems. Programming was done in MATLAB with the help of C++. SAMPLE Under TPM pillar “JISHU HOZEN ”( Autonomous Maintenance), I was given responsibility from maintenance department to carry out continuous improvement on GOTEY MACHINE to do some project related modification of wire layouts, proper tooling arrangement, and pneumatic pipe arrangement with help two staff member working under me and two staff member who were working on machine.

I also learnt the different ways of solving problem by QC story, cause and effect diagram in Mahindra. I was also a part of some energy saving projects like Optimization of Cooling tower power consumption, Optimization of degrease stge-1 spray pump power consumption. Optimization of degrease stge-2 spray pump power consumption, Optimizing Power consumption of air supply blower air washer pump. After doing these projects I realized that though we can not produce the power as per demand but we can efficiently save power and can utilize this power in some industrial sector which are on the verge of shutting down due to non availability of power at working hours So I want to study these areas to save as much power as possible and contribute in National savings

Currently I am working as a Lecturer in Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET). I am teaching Basic Electrical Machines for second year Electronics and Communication to graduate students. I am at ease with computers and have learnt C, worked on the software like mat lab, power simulator during my college studies and I have also worked on SAP erp 4.7 mm module

Keeping in mind my long-term goals to complete PhD from Glyndwr University by working in Engineering Research Centre with Signal Processing and Power Systems Research Group, my immediate objective is to work towards MSc Electrical and Electronic Systems and Digital Technologies. I am aware of the kind of dedication, perseverance and resolve I need to have for a fruitful career in research and teaching. I believe my background has not only qualified me technically and practically also given me the right mind-set for such a career.
