Doria (Striped) fabrics in narrow widths used for turbans were woven in Kota in the past. Today, this activity is practiced by the weavers of the Hadoti region (Bundi, Kota, and Baran districts of Rajasthan). Kota is now famous for its “Kota DoriaSaree”. The Saree is produced by using cotton and mulberry raw silk yarns for base fabric with Gold and silver zari (fine metal threads) yarns in the extra warp and extra weft for designing. In this product, all-over butty design in golden zari with red border beatified by silver zari work. This Saree is woven in 49 days.

PanjaDurry is traditional durry of Rajasthan. The product gets its name from a metallic claw like tool called “Panja”, which is used to beat the weft to the fell of cloth. The design pattern is inspired by nature. Various motifs like Animal, Bird, Plant, hut etc. are woven in the durry. The raw material used to make this durry is cotton.This durry made in geometrical designs was completed in 26 days.

This product is designed in blue shade with golden and silver zari work. It was woven in 58 days.

DineshBhobaria

PanjaDurry is traditional durry of Rajasthan. The product gets its name from a metallic claw like tool called “Panja”, which is used to beat the weft to the fell of cloth. The design pattern is inspired by nature. Various motifs like Animal, Bird, Plant, hut etc. are woven in the durry. The raw materials used to make this durry are wool & cotton. Product 1 - Inspiration of this Durry Motif is taken from historical fort building in Rajasthan. This durry made in 43 days.

Product 2- Durry Motifs are geometrical and birds. This durry is made in 35 days.

Raghuveer Singh Bundela

“MalaniPattu” is fine weaving with alluring geometric pattern, woven with finesse by the master craftsmen of Jaisalmer & Barmer. The name of the craft, however comes from the word “Patti”, which means thin strips of cloth in regional language. Generally woven in wool & cotton on pit-loom. In a regular, Pattu weave horizontal borders are running along both sides, a no. of thin lines of weft –dominated weaves embellish the shawls(Pattu). Displayed shawl have geometrical design motifs. This pattu shawls was made in 10 days.

Haji Abbas Ali
