POLICE DEPARTMENT• Graduated four officers from the Law

Enforcement Academy: Diavolo Simpson, Scott Ladnier, John Lynd, and Eugena Marshall

• Diavolo Simpson received the Firearms Award at the Academy

• Scott Ladnier received awards for fitness, academics, driving, and the Larkin Smith Award for the most outstanding graduate

• Detective Kim Stevens Lieutenant Doug Adams were presented awards by the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Nonviolence

• Sergeant Richard Davis received Officer of the Year for Jackson County from the MS Coast Crime Stoppers

• Expanded the MS Metro Enforcement Team

• Completed National Accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA)

• Gulfport – Biloxi – Pascagoula Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) experienced 10.6% growth in weekly wages between 2013 and 2014 – 3rd fastest rate in the nation

• The Associated General Contractors of America ranked Pascagoula #1 in construction job growth in 2013

• Achieved a growth rate of 51%, more than double that of any other area in the AGC Study
