Wilken Bruns Wilken is the Co-Founder & COO Startupbootcamp Berlin. He is a German entrepreneur, born and raised in Africa. He designed an accelerator program for Maastricht University, co-founded 3 Day Startup Maastricht, was COO of Startup Camp Berlin ‘12, and board member of the Entrepreneurs Club Berlin e.V. Just for fun he sells monkikoys online. He loves his job, so besides startups he doesn’t really have any hobbies.

Peter Fabian Peter currently serves as a VP of Business Development at Zaelnorth LLC, a Silicon Valley consultancy firm that advises companies on business operations. He started his career in the software industry, eventually becoming COO of iPharro Media, a video fingerprinting startup and a successful spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute. More recently, Peter was the Managing Director of Rocket Internet USA, an American branch of the most successful European startup incubator. His latest engagement was as a VP of Operations at Talenthouse, the world’s leading platform for creative collaboration where he restructured the core business operations. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University. In his spare time he enjoys independent overland travel, most recently to destinations in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Judges

Amit Paunikar Amit is the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Mediastudio. A seasoned product manager, he has over 12 years of experience delivering innovative and highly scalable products for big and small companies. Prior to Mediastudio, he was the VP, Products at Marketshare and helped launch their flagship product. Prior to Marketshare, he spent time in product organizations at Google and Yahoo! where he worked on advertising, search and video. In AdWords he launched a new bidding product

that quickly ramped up to over $300MM in annual run-rate, earning a mention during Google’s quarterly earnings call. He also spent time as the lead Product Manager for Google Video. Amit holds an M.S. in Computer Networks from University of Southern California and a B.S. in Computer Technology from VJTI, University of Mumbai. He holds 4 patents in the field of computer networks, advertising and analytics.

Michael Schuster Michael is Partner at Speedinvest, an early stage Business Angel Fund in Vienna, Austria. He built Social Publishing Services when Blogger didn’t exist, helped the European Media Industry understand and use semantic technologies and ended up in the wonderful role of working with entrepreneurs all day long. Within Speedinvest he is responsible for all startups in Media / Publishing, Semantics / Search, Enterprise Software and Food / Beverages. When not busy with looking at pitchdecks or judging at Demo Day, he helps the portfolio companies in very hands-on fashion to run and grow their business, most likely in operative roles in Corporate and Business Development, that is, huh, Sales and Operations. He loves good food, good music and good friends.

Michal TrubanMichal is a serial entrepreneur and manager with a passion for business, internet, startups, blogging, marketing, UI/UX and customer service. He has built Websupport.sk from scratch to lovemark the biggest webhosting company in Slovakia with branches around Central Europe. Apart from passionate blogging about business and startups, he does triathlon, plays ultimate frisbee, reads a lot and parties hard at times.

Andrej PancikAndrej received a bachelors degree in Applied Informatics from Masaryk University. After that he spent time at the University of Nottingham playing with portfolio optimisation. Recently he dropped out of his D.Phil studies in Computer Science at The University of Oxford focused on computer vision of intelligent systems to pursue entrepreneurship. Among his work experience one can find technology divisions of CERN laboratories, investment bank UBS, or corporate Microsoft. He is currently trying to change the world with Prizeo (Y Combinator – the batch of Winter 2013) – new fund rising platform that connects celebrities, charities, brands and the public to do a lot of good things together.
