The Nutcracker Sessions Why:  founders  want  more,  easily  accessible,  help  in  naviga:ng  towards  founding  a  company.  What:  founders  present  their  case  and  their  challenges,  and  ask  the  audience  of  StartupDorf  members  for  ideas,  thoughts,  and  help  to  find  solu:ons.  How:  session  with  presen:ng  and  feedback.  

Pitch Clinic

Pitch Clinic Why:  help  founders  to  build  perfect  pitches,  to  create  more  successful  startups  

What:  workshop  with  presenta:ons  from  experts,  :me  to  rework  pitch,  and  present  to  group  How:  start  with  presenta:ons  from  3  ‘experts’  (entrepreneurs,  investors,  accelarators…),

Startup Hall of Fame

Startup Hall of Fame Why:  recognise  and  promote  local  startups;  strengthen  startup  culture  in  Düsseldorf  

What:  to  start  with,  a  set  of  printable  pdf  profiles  of  Startups,  for  partners  to  hang  on  walls,  and  to  send  to  press.  

How:  special  commiJee  selects  startups,  creates  profiles,  presents  at  Startupdorf  Stamm:sch  and  distributes  

StartupDorf on Tour

StartupDorf on Tour Why:  iden:fy  ac:vi:es  for  Startupdorf,  learn  from  success,  build  interna:onal  network,  connect  startups  What:  visits  to  Startup  places  (hubs,  accelerators,  incubators,  co-­‐working  spaces  and  such)  in  Netherlands,  Belgium,  Luxembourg,  France  and  Germany  How:  arrange  date,  plan,  put  group  of  members  and  board  in  bus  (or  on  train,  or  …),  go.

Startupdorf MOOC Why:  provide  an  easily  accessible  way  to  explore  the  Düsseldorfer  Startup  Ecosystem  

What:  a  series  of  documentaries  about  the  organisa:ons  and  startups  ac:ve  in  Düsseldorf  How:  copy  storyline  from  Beyond  Silicon  Valley  MOOC,  record  videos  with  relevant  players,  

publish  on  Crowducate.  Addi:onal:  this  ac:vity  is  suggested  by  the  maker  of  the  MOOC,  and  similar  projects  run  in  

other  countries.  This  will  help  establish  Düsseldorf  interna:onally  as  a  Startup  Hub
