DEFINITIONStory is a common term for a recounting of a sequence of events, narrative, or for a statement regarding the facts pertinent to a situation in question. It is defined as a narrative or tale of real or fictitious events.

HOW TO DEVELOP A STORY

1. Determine a plot and characters.

2.Sketch out an outline in the traditional format of "A-1-a-b-c ..." or use a more informal method. You can simply write your ideas using a bullet format--characters, plot, setting, subplots and sub-characters. In each section, write basic information about the categories there.

5.Work on characterization. Characters are agents in a story who will move the plot of your story.

6.Develop a setting appropriate to your story. setting includes the time, location, and everything in which a story takes place, and initiates the main backdrop and mood for a story.
