Some techniques to help you improve your grade

• Avoid negative and one word answers• Avoid short answers – use connectives• Ensure you include at least 2 tenses• Be able to express opinions• Be able to justify your opinions• Buy yourself thinking time: e.g.C’est une bonne question• Try filling gaps with words such as euh, par exemple,

c’est à dire or ben with French intonation• Steer the conversation to your advantage• Ask the examiner (me) a question….here’s how

• Quels sont vos projets d’avenir?• En septembre j’espère aller au lycée où je vais continuer

mes études. J’étudierai les maths, la chimie et la biologie. Ensuite je voudrais faire une année sabbatique – j’aimerais faire le tour du monde avec des copains avant d’aller à l’université. Puis j’ai l’intention d’ étudier les sciences car je voudrais devenir médecin.

• Quelle est votre opinion de votre collège et pourquoi? • A mon avis mon collège est formidable. J’y suis très

heureuse. J’aime beaucoup la plupart de mes profs et les cours sont souvent intéressants. Je fais de bons progrès, surtout en maths et j’ai beaucoup de copains. Le seul problème, c’est que j’ai trop de devoirs en ce moment.
