So we have set up a system so we can ‘meet’ with you online! It is called Google Classrooms, and because every pupil will have their own log on for this we can then have meetings and even do some live group learning and we know this will be secure and safe. It is called Google Classrooms, and because every pupil will have their own log on for this we can then have meetings and even do some live group learning and we know this will be secure and safe.
HERE IS YOUR GUIDE TO GETTING STARTED ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM
Getting started You will receive an email with your child’s username and password.
If you are on a PC or laptop open Google and click on the Google Chrome browser icon
If you are on an tablet, Ipad or Iphone you will need to download the Google Chrome app first
Getting started Type www.google.com into the web address bar
Click on SIGN IN in the upper right hand corner of the window
Type in your child’s username
Type in their password
Agree to the terms and conditions
You will be asked to change the password to a unique password that you and your child will need to remember.
Click DONE
If you can see the nine dots in the top right hand corner (the ‘waffle’) click on this, then scroll down until you find the Google Classroom icon and click on this

If you can’t see the nine dots in the top right hand corner (the ‘waffle’) go to Google search and enter Google Classroom and enter

You will need to select I’M A STUDENT
If you use a PC or laptop
If you can see your Google Classroom you should click the JOIN button
If you use a tablet or phone
If you can see this screen click the button at the bottom right hand corner that says ‘Create or join your first class’. You will then need to enter the class code. This was emailed with your child’s log in details.
If you use a tablet or phone
You are now in your Google Classroom!
You need to complete this very quick survey - it’s only one question - just click the form to open it
You can access Google Classroom from any device!
You can download Google Classroom app and other Google apps
