STAR READING ENTERPRISESTAR Reading is a computer-adaptive

assessment that is designed to give teachers accurate, reliable and valid data quickly so they can make good decisions about strategies you may need to learn so that you can become a better reader

or improve the skills you already possess.

What are Computer-Adaptive Tests?The STAR Reading

assessment is a computer-adaptive

test. Computer-adaptive tests

continually adjust the difficulty of each student’s test by

choosing each test questions based on the

student’s previous response. If the student

answers a questions correctly, the difficulty

of the next item is increased. If a student misses a question, the

difficulty level is decreased.
