1) How has the group/artist represented themselves and their star image on their album covers?

The way Pentatonix has represented themselves on their album ‘PTX, Vol. II’ by having an image of piano keyboard notes. The way that there show their star image is through their name because as there are called ‘Pentatonix’ is named after the pentatonic scale, a musical scale or mode with five notes per octave. This is shown by the piano keyboard notes by having five notes per octave and as there are five members in this group.

2) Does this develop over the course of their albums? If so how?

No because this is their first album where there have put some kind of image on to the album, apart from their name on the album. In addition, as you can see below is a picture of their first album which only includes the name of the group however, it could be argued that it has developed from the first album as now in their second album it has changed into different.

3) How does the design of the album relate to the genre of music?

I think that the design of the album doesn’t relate to the genre because as the genre of music that Pentatonix sing a cappella which doesn’t include any type of musical instrument only the human voice and as the album cover of Pentatonix’s PTV, Vol. 2 is the notes of a piano and I believe there isn’t a link between the genre of music and the album cover.
