What is changing?

According to the previous chart, not much. We are not progressing forward each year toward the ultimate goal:

Target Technology

Area of Educator Preparation and Development

There are regular technology-supported learner centered projects.

There is vertical alignment of Technology Applications TEKS and anytime, anywhere use of online recourses.

Administrators ensure integration of appropriate technology.

100% of educators meet SBEC standards. 30% or more of budget allocated for professional

development.

assessment and technology use needs to be aligned.

It means that ALL teachers and administrators meet SBEC proficiencies.

It means that all decisions and research be aligned with the mission and goals.

It means that we need to focus on Educator Preparation & Development.

There are still 3 more areas of the Long Range Plan for Texas to work on.

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue to the learning process as long as he lives.
