Home sweet home…

This store sales kitchen stuff.Probably Halloween is not a sale driver. In fact, I asked the saleswoman about the impact and she told me that it had no effect at all. Moreover it would be an opportunity to use other senses like smell of recently backed food. I would also recommend the saleswoman to use aprons to make the customers feel as if they where kids again and their mother is cooking. The whole store could be customized as if it was a kitchen. Maybe the saleswoman should be an elder person.

People will pay more to be entertained than educated

This store sales music CDs, movies DVDs, Bluerays, and books. As you can see in this photo the poor illumination is not inviting. Also the shop window is very crowded with small CDs. Instead they could use bigger artist or album posters .The personnel is not friendly at all. Another thing that would be nice is to have an island to hear music before purchasing. You can have 10 seconds of each song recorded in an MP3 with headphones.Another opportunity would be to have a few tables with a coffe service so you can have a coffee while you thumb trough the future book you will purchase.
