• ST. ANDREW IS THE PATRON SAINT OF SCOTLAND AS WELL AS OTHER COUNTRIES INCLUDING GREECE AND RUSSIA.

ACCORDING TO A LEGEND, A MONK, CALLED REGULUS, BROUGHT RELICS OF ST. ANDREW TO SCOTLAND, WHERE HE BUILT A CHURCH. THE CATHEDRAL BECAME A PLACE OF RELIGIOUS PILGRIMAGE.

• GLAMIS CASTLE IS ONE OF THESE. IT’S FAMOUS FOR A GHOST WITH A LONG BLACK BEARD WHO PLAYS CARDS WITH THE DEVIL IN A SECRET ROOM OF THE CASTLE.

“My Heart’s in the Highlands”is a poem about his love for its land:

• Famous cakes are: Dundee cake and Shortbread.

• During this “CEILIDH” you’ll taste some cakes based on Scottish recipes.
