Purpose

This Mobile Site Management Plan (MSMP) isprepared by BAM to detail the standard MSMSprocesses that must be implemented on all BAMprojects.

The purpose is to ensure that the ProjectManager and Project Delivery Team are informedof, and equipped to deliver, BAM’s minimumstandards.

Goals:

• Fully documented, compliant quality andsafety processes

• Faster recording and resolution of issues

Page 26: Standardisation Digital Transformation Power of Data!

Kick-off Set Up Training Support• Discuss goals and success

criteria with project team

• Discuss project specific HSE & QA processes and workflows

• Review MSMP Implementation tracker

• BIM 360 Lead sets up project site to teams requirements

• MSMS overview

• User training for iPad and Web app

• Train the trainer (Site Champion)

Issues & Defect tracking

An “Issue” is raised on BIM 360 Field when BAM require a subcontractor to resolve a problem on site.

When an Issue is raised on the system the subcontractor will receive a notification by email.

The MSMS shall be used for the following Issue types:

• Quality Issues• Safety Issues• Environmental Issues

Checklists

Health & SafetyMandatory Checklists shall be undertaken by the Project

Management team at regular intervals.

It is the Project Managers responsibility to assign the completion

of these check sheets to a suitably qualified member of the BAM

project team.

QA & EnvironmentalA full library of Best Practice inspection checklists are available

on BIM 360 Field.

Equipment & Permits

The Equipment section of the MSMS is used for 3 main processes:

• Permits to Work.

• Managing Construction Plant and Equipment.

• Managing Assets & Maintainable Items (Installed Equipment)

Permits and equipment can be associated with a QR code or barcode

Page 37: Standardisation Digital Transformation Power of Data!

Permits

A ‘Permit to work’ system can be generated and managed through the MSMS.

The most commonly used is the Hot-works permit.

Page 38: Standardisation Digital Transformation Power of Data!

Construction & Plant Equipment

Although they are considered temporary they still require close monitoring and management to

ensure they are always well maintained and safe to operate via regular inspection.

Examples of such equipment would be: Forklift trucks, hoists, tower cranes all the way down to fire

extinguishers, temporary lighting, even step-ladders etc.

This is equipment that is used only in

the construction activities of the project

Page 39: Standardisation Digital Transformation Power of Data!

Installed Equipment

Examples of such equipment would be: Air Handling Units, Chillers, LV Switch panel, Lifts,

Escalators, all the way down to radiators, Automatically Opening Vents etc.

This is equipment that is an integral

part of the completed project

Page 40: Standardisation Digital Transformation Power of Data!

Reports are used to enhance the project delivery team’s ability to effectively manage the project construction process

Reports can also be set up for personal preferences, to assist in managing activities, issues and checklists

Additionally the reports allow the data to be used and represented to show ‘trends’ in operations that can strategically be acted upon to create more efficient construction solutions.
