My research focuses on the cellular and molecular biology of endometriosis. Our most important contributions include the establishment of a unique human endometriosis cell culture model and the demonstration that ovarian steroid hormones and macrophage-derived cytokines regulate lesion vascularization and proliferation. These insights have led to the identification of novel therapeutic targets and medications.
