We hope this new mix of stamps will delight not only the cardmaker, but also the mixed media artist and the decorative painters. House-Mouse Designs® stamps, Copic markers and hand made model boards are keeping us very busy. We have something new for you in every category of rubber, wood mounted or cling, and clear stamps.

The bright watercolor splashes on our cover were created with the Creative Palette and Imagine Crafts’ Neon Pigment Ink Refills and their Ink Potion No. 9 and LOTS of spritzed water. For this splashy look, I squirted out little droplets in the center of my palette and spread them by spritzing or using a small squeegee instead of a brayer. I’ve found the Creative Palette to work well with any water-based refill inks. Each type of ink has a unique look. Remember, over-mixing colors will make them muddy. To clean the Creative Palette, it is as simple as a few minutes soak in scalding water and a quick scrub.

I have had more fun making journals lately. Use your Creative Palette for backgrounds, then add stamping and embossing. Bound or spiral journals mean you need to let pages dry to proceed. Make your own simple journal with 3 pieces of folded paper. Decorate both sides, fold and assemble by punching or stitching down the center page.

Both the Hummingbird Stamps and the Cutting Dies are a must. The smallest details cut beautifully. The blossoms will make it easy to 3D flowers on the vine. As with the Leaves and Snowflakes, a new Butterfly Stamp Set shares a new Cutting Die set with the classic Cling Butterflies Trio.
