Embarrassing moments

My gum fell out of my mouth while asking a question to my teacher.

I peed my pants senior year.

I was snoring in class, so Mr. Corbett made me play guitar.

I hit a girl at golf practice once. No worries – it wasn’t hard and she was ok!

I’ve witnessed Nick Barkan get picked up and spanked in Broadcasting numerous times.

I hit the nicest Mustang in the school parking lot my second week of driving.

Ms. Taylor asked the whole class who the most famous cyclops is, and I said Mike Wazowski, so everyone laughed at me.

I did guide dogs for the blind and my dog had diarrhea all over by the main office.

The first day of freshman year, I was really nervous and dropped my phone in toilet at school and didn’t do anything about it for a solid minute.

I used the force to trip Principal Beck in the hallway.

I dropped a large Dutch smoothie (full) in the library, and it got on a kid and the books.

I had a “locker room talk” moment, and Coach Nigro caught us red-handed.

My freshman year, I shoved a donut down a drinking fountain, and it clogged up the entire school plumbing system.

I kicked open the bathroom door once, and it hit someone really hard.

The kid behind me in English sophomore year ripped one, and for a second, everyone thought it was me.

over the years...

News Advisor bids farewell to senior staff

Dear Newspaper Seniors, This is not how we are supposed to say goodbye or end the year, but I want each one of you to know how very proud I am you. We have many amazing memories together over the years, and it has been so fun to watch you

all grow in so many ways. I appreciate and admire your infectious smiles, witty senses of humor, incredible work ethic, and dedication to the paper. You have all touched my life in some way and I will forever be changed for the better having known you. It has been so hard to be apart this last quarter, and I hope you will keep in touch. I know you will all go on to do great things, though.... can’t wait to see what those things are! Congratulations! Love, Mrs. Lester

Letter from the Editors Dear fellow classmates,

As you can clearly tell you are reading this fine senior

issue. There were bumps in the road and many zoom calls to make this ragtag book of mems. We worked long and hard to make this special for us and you fellow classmates. We hope you guys enjoy it, even just a little bit. We are sad to say goodbye to you all but don’t let the door hit ya on the way out. (JK, but not really). Love ya!Sincerely, Aleah and Bridgette (AB)

Farewell from senior teachers

Mark Boatman, Government teacher

To the 2020 senior class, Be proud of what you have accomplished at Eagle High School. This amazing class was a pleasure to know, teach,

and learn from. I loved how tight-knit and inclusive this class was (teacher perspective). The majority of my senior students were focused and driven to do well, yet remained calm and adaptable during turbulent times, such as these. The feelings of disappointment about how this year ended are mutual, but know those feelings won’t last forever. I miss teaching you, getting to know you, and laughing with you everyday. Know that you are missed, and I, as well as the entire staff at EHS care about you. Until next time.

Mark Snodgrass, AP Government teacher

Hey Seniors!I know that the end of our school year was kind of difficult but I have no doubt that you will overcome in

the end.You have made this school year amazing! I appreciate all of the hard work you have done to graduate and complete your time at EHS with distinction. I will remember this class for many reasons, but not because of the coronavirus. I will remember all the fun times we had; joking around in class, going to the state Capitol, discussing issues that really matter and just getting to know each other in a real and meaningful way. I can easily say, “The Class of 2020 is SO GOOD!!”

So Long Seniors of 2020… The journey of the rest of your lives begins with your next step; just be sure that your next step is at least six feet away from me and

you’re wearing a mask. For those of you I’ve had the privilege to teach, counsel, or just hassle in the hallways, I want to thank you for making my job fun every day. What I really hope you learned from me is that EVERYTHING becomes interesting if you look at it for more than a few minutes, and EVERYONE has a valid point-of-view (according to them), even if you don’t agree with them. Remember that History is just a cool story about people just like you, and Rock & Roll is Life! Remember to keep a sense of CURIOUSITY in your life. As long as you are curious…you have a question. As long as you have a question…you are looking for an answer. Your search for answers will move you forward in life and you’ll never be bored. Respect yourself, respect others, don’t fear change, and love animals always. I was proud to be your teacher. Mike Corbett, History teacher

Farewell from senior teachers

To the wonderful EHS Class of 2020: First of all, I miss seeing you so much! I’m really sad that we lost our time together, but I hope I will see you soon and that we will keep in touch.

Having worked at Eagle High for the past 22 years, I can honestly tell you that you are one of my favorite Senior Classes I have ever had the pleasure to work with and teach. It has been awesome to spend time with you, and you are the reason that I love my job! ❤❤ Thank you for sharing your lives with me, and I know that you will all be kind, tolerant, successful and happy as you move on to whatever plans and dreams you have. I look forward to hearing about the great things you will accomplish in the future. Stay strong, don’t have a behavior and eat lots of bacon!! Meowwwwww!Shelli Taylor, AP English Teacher

As each of you graduate high school and move on to your next journey in life, I want to take this moment with you to reflect. As you came into my Economics class for the first time this year I asked each of you what came to mind when

I said “Economics”. I walked around the room and got several different answers. ALL of them were correct. I submit to you that “Economics” is the adult world all of you will be participating in very soon. It will be the everyday life decisions you will be facing. Decisions I hope you make in a rational and thoughtful manner. I can’t tell you in a sentence what I have gained from all of you. I am an educator because of you, my students, period. Your daily questions, comments and conversations will be deeply missed. I wish each of you the best path in life. Know that mistakes will be made, it’s a factor of life. It’s also an indicator of effort, so fall but fall forward. I ask that you get back up, dust yourself off, learn from it and be better. One last thing, I challenge each of you to be awesome…the world may try to make you average…YOU – GO BE AWESOME!!! My sincere and best wish to each of you, Clifford Jeff Clifford, Economics teacher

Dear Class of 2020:You are the history makers, the rule breakers, the vacation takers, the pandemic shakers. Our time together was so

short and yet you were able to accomplish so much! Never doubt the importance of the sacrifice your class has made for the greater good. Even though the year may not have panned out the way you had always dreamed, I hope you know that your efforts really made a difference. Your kindness was and is contagious. I wish I could have spent the last few months of school having fun because we worked to hard at the beginning. But please know that I will never forget you and all your efforts. Best of luck to you always. AEM Anna Eaton-Merkle, English teacher
