Stakeholder analysis
is not just about collecting the requirements through asking the right questions.
Personally, I believe that first and foremost it is
an emphatic approach to people to gain their trust
(in vision, goals and other people) so they support the project.

Why do we need Stakeholder analysis (3/3)
1. We miss something.
2. We only see a part of the situation.
3. We leave something out.
4. We do not consider consequences or views of others in our thinking.
5. We do not list alternatives.
Five common errors in thinking orproject preparation:

Which questions must the BA consider regarding stakeholder interests
What does everyone have to gain / why do we need this project - what’s in it for him ?
What can they expect from the project? What interests can they have?
How will this influence them - what does this mean to
he/she/them?
What can they loose? How does this (change) affect me?
What are the common
interests for all stakeholders ?
